Inspiration

What inspired Breonna to work with nonprofits?

“Nonprofits were an essential part of my journey growing up! They helped mold and shape me into the woman I am today! Nonprofits like the YMCA, Urban Ecology Center, HeartLove Place and others opened my world up to experiences that I might not otherwise have had. I also gained life-long mentors and received post-secondary support that inspired me to go to college. These experiences allowed me to see myself as a leader in my community, deserving of all the beauty that the world had to offer. I wanted to be a part of why other people are able to experience something far greater than their local communities, because that’s what nonprofits did for me!”

Fun Facts about Breonna.

“I love to travel, eat, and bake!  I am originally from Pulaski, TN and grew up going back and forth between MKE and TN.  I’m the best tete in the world to three of the best children in the world!”

What led to Breonna Choosing Loving Venti?

“Dr. Pederson, of course! I was able to work alongside Dr. Pederson in my Doctoral Studies program. I was able to hear her talk about her vision for Loving Venti and watch her create it from the ground up. Seeing how much she poured into Loving Venti and how passionate she is in supporting nonprofits made me hope that one day there would be an opportunity for me to support or engage in its mission.”
