Jackie's Experience:
Jackie Mauer has over 20 years of experience in education, curriculum development, and nonprofit programming, with a decade dedicated specifically to nonprofit program improvement and fund development. Before joining Loving Venti, Jackie served as the Grants Manager at CORE El Centro in Milwaukee, where she built the organization’s in-house grants program from the ground up—securing long-term government grants, increasing grant income by 55%, and establishing collaborative systems for managing grant compliance and reporting.
Jackie’s work has spanned a diverse array of roles, including serving as Director of Programming for a women’s cooperative and youth workshops in Guatemala, teaching French and English as a Second Language in Wisconsin public schools, and leading staff development at Concordia Language Villages. Her passion is helping mission-driven organizations find creative, sustainable ways to fund their impact.

Inspiration
What inspired Jackie to work with nonprofits?
“At the center of my career choices has always been, and will be, a drive to foster a more equitable world. This often means tackling those significant gaps in services and opportunities for folks experiencing inequities (it also means disrupting systems!). I began this journey as an educator in public schools, helping families overcome language barriers to fully access their school’s resources. Eventually, intense curiosity led me to study international development and to then focus on nongovernment/nonprofit solutions to problems and human needs. I’m inspired by the creative solutions and passion I see every day in the nonprofit sector in the Milwaukee area!”
Fun Facts about Jackie
“I’ve rock climbed in five states since picking up the hobby in 2022. I’m fluent in French, speak intermediate Spanish, and still remember bits of Swedish and Haitian Creole from past travels and projects. Also—fun fact—I have a very good sense of smell (which comes in handy more often than you’d think!).”
What led Jackie to joining Loving Venti?
“I am excited to be a part of Loving Venti’s focus on small and medium nonprofits where folks are baptized by fire and wear many hats. It is a joy to walk alongside neighbors in our community who take on immense challenges and to support their passions!”
